Walt's Dream

   Keep holding your breath in anticipation. The Steve Winwood concert in 2010 just around the corner.
   Last November we let you know about Mayor Maddox's plan to bring big acts to Tuscaloosa by building an amphitheater to court the likes of The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr. and of corse Mr. Steve Winwood.
   Well this honkey grandma be trippin because Walt's dream is one step closer to reality. The Tuscaloosa News is reporting that ground has now been broke on the amphitheater.

The mayor told the Tuscaloosa News, "Memories are going to be made, hearts will be touched and souls will be stirred by the new Tuscaloosa amphitheater."
 I just hope people are just as touched by their first Steve Winwood concert in an amphitheater as I was by my first  amphitheater concert, Three Dog Night....One is the loneliest number.
