Bo on Roll Bama Roll
Wellthatscool.com host, Bo Hicks is featured in a story about Egan's on the Champagne of Bama Blogs, Rollbamaroll.com. A mighty fine writeup for T-town's favorite green cube of smoke and purveyor of poor life decisions.

Bo Knows Beer
The Tuscaloosa Free The Hops meeting was held last Thursday at Egans on the Strip. For those of you out there who think Free The Hops is a bunch of upper crust rich kids trying to get fancy French Beers to Alabama, I will recap this you...The Tuscaloosa Free The Hops meeting was held last Thursday at Egans on the Strip.
Egans, the best Rock and Roll beer bar in West Alabama, is quickly becoming home to the best selection of beer at a bar in Alabama.
Our own Bo Hicks was in attendance at Egans and gave Mark Hughes Cobb of the Tuscaloosa News the low down on Free The Hops and some beer tasting hints while drinking the great newly freed beer.

together to play at a location that is completely familiar yet entirely different: The Booth. The band never meant to stop playing together. For percussionist and enthusiaphoneist Bo Hicks, this is "a new beginning as we move forward we don't view this as a way to support our family's anymore but it was never about the money its about doing something you love with people you love."
I had a chance to sit down with Bo and talk to him about Chinese Dentist; then and now. He promises that the show this Saturday at the Booth will not suck and have him dancing like the wild man of Borneo.
WTC: How many years did you play together and where have you played?
Bo: We were together from 2001 to early 2007 and we played any where we could. A couple of my favorites were (keep in mind these were the best shows just the funniest to recant) 1) Watermark Place Outlet Mall. 2) The roof of Fox 6 in Birmingham where we jamed with Mickey Ferguson and sang Voodoo Lady to Janet Hall followed 12 hours later with a gig at The Nick with two death metal bands, Obliviaxe and Trokar. 3) A motorcycle rally in North Alabama. 4) A 24 hour laundry mat bar in New Orleans.
We played every where we could in the south east. We always had fun but the two best spots for us where Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge. Read more »
