This weekend in Tuscaloosa has officially been declared the "Wellthatscool.com Messin With Texas Weekend" by the president of Alabama.
  Two nights of excitement and entertainment book-ending the University of Alabama football game as they take on the North Texas Mean Green.
This all starts Sept. 18 at 7pm when DCDC presents "The Big Lebowski" at the Historic Bama Theatre.
   From there head right down the street to the Mellow Mushroom where your ears be tickled by the sounds of Chinese Dentist, a classic Tuscaloosa funky band and Armless Victory, a dj that mixes live instruments with beats. Break out the bourbon, Saturday is football day! The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game is this Saturday night at 8est 7central. But before the game The crew from ESPN College Gameday will be broadcasting from Atlanta.
One of the things the College Gameday crew will talk about will definitely be the fact that The DARK LORD will be in Tuscaloosa until 2017.
  According to ESPN.com’s Chris Low:
   “Pledging his commitment to Alabama for the rest of his coaching career, Nick Saban signed a contract extension Saturday that will keep him in charge of the Crimson Tide football program through the 2017 season.” - full story

    Some of us here around the Well That's Cool world wide headquarters have been playing flag football for over a decade...or maybe more than one of us.

   That's why this is so cool to us.

   According to The Tuscaloosa News "Tyrone Prothro is among the former University of Alabama players tentatively expected to participate in the A-Club 7-on-7 Classic flag football game Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium before the A-Day Game."

   Others scheduled to play in the game are Antonio Langham, John Copeland, Barry Krauss and Derrick Oden. Read more »

This year many people around Tuscaloosa are getting into the Roll Tide sprit. People who I have know for 10 years and only cared about football when the parking around their house was taken, are calling me and asking for updates on the game. Another person I know went to her second game ever last week. In the 5 years previous she had been to  1 game and not cared about it at all; last week she sat in the freezing cold the entire game smiling from ear to ear.
