15 years of Pain - New DVD to come out this spring

From 1994 to the year 2000 one of the greatest indie punk rock bands of all time was based in Tuscaloosa: Pain. This is how the band defined themselves:

1. A musical group comprised of six dumb males, one voluptuous female, and a drummer. Lots of horns and lots of good times. A healthy new dose on the old school punk tip with fresh new grooves to widen your smile. 2. Plenty of nice melodies, wrapped around lyrics about kooky kids, lovely girls and people we hate. The guitar is mean, the bass is lean, and the lead vocals are easily understandable. Pain: its music with a wang to it. - Read More for video

Pain had a following across the United States due to relentless touring and great studio albums. The stayed independent so they could be in complete control of there sound. A Pain show was like having a religious experience. The music and the crowd could send shivers up your spin, even when you were in a tiny bar, sweating your ass off with 100 of your closest new friends. There was a blur as to where the stage stopped and the audience began. The fans were as much a part of the experience as the band. Most of the crowd sang along to every word of every song and no one ever wanted the show to end. It was a sad day for all Pain fans in 2000 when the band went on indefinite hiatus, but as we wait for the reunion show, at least we will have this.

This Spring is Pain's 15th anniversary and to go along with that, the band is finally releasing the highly anticipated Pain DVD - "In A Band". There will only be 1000 copies of this DVD pressed, if you want a copy head over to thepainpage.com and find out how to get yours.
