Northport is home to the best arts festivals in the the country, Kentuck Festival of the Arts. The festival, which is scheduled for the weekend of October 18 & 19, features educational craft demonstrations where masters of artistic tradition share their skills with visitors at locations throughout the park. Some of the talents showcased at the festival are the work and practice of southern basket makers, blacksmiths, furniture makers, quilters and traditional potters.
